Saturday Sessions, a Signature Board Short, and a Sorority That Made the News: Saraboca Wave Co. in March 2025
March 2026 was a big month for Saraboca Wave Co. We launched Saturday Sessions, dropped a signature board short, and took a Tennessee sorority group wakesurfing in Southwest Florida.
February was about getting the boat in the water. March was about getting people on it.
Saturday Sessions: Open Wakesurfing Every Week in Southwest Florida
One of the first things I wanted to do when we launched was make wakesurfing accessible to people who weren't ready to book a private charter. Not everyone wants to commit to a full group outing right away. Sometimes you just want to show up, get on the water, and see what it's all about.
That's why we started Saturday Sessions.
Every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM, anyone can join us on the water for $150. No experience needed. No group required. Just show up and surf.
For context, a private wakesurf charter in Southwest Florida typically runs significantly more than that. Saturday Sessions was designed to give people a way in at a price that's hard to say no to. If you've been curious about wakesurfing in Englewood, Venice, Sarasota, or Boca Grande, this is honestly the easiest way to try it.
Spots are still available most weeks. If you've been on the fence, this is your sign.
The Captain's Signature Board Short
In March I also dropped something I'd been working on outside of the boat. A signature board short, inspired by me and available now at https://dubsswim.com/products/et-skims-starry-shorts-5-inch-in-seam
Board shorts are something I've worn my whole life. As a professional skimboarder you develop opinions pretty quickly about what works on the water and what doesn't. These were designed with that in mind. If you spend time in the water or just want something that holds up, go check them out.
A Tennessee Sorority Takes on the Wake
March also brought one of those charters you don't forget. We took out a group of women from PhiMu, a sorority out of Tennessee, for a session on the water. At some point during the trip one of them grabbed their sorority flag and waved it while surfing.
It made the news. Their sorority news, but still.
There's something genuinely fun about watching people experience wakesurfing for the first time. The PhiMu group brought that energy in full. They were locked in, having the time of their life, and repping their letters while doing it. That's exactly what Saraboca Wave Co. is supposed to feel like.
If you're planning a group trip, bachelorette weekend, sorority outing, or just a day on the water with friends in Southwest Florida, we'd love to have you out.
See you out there. Saraboca Wave Co. — Bringing the Waves to You
