A day with nothing booked into it

This is the trip for people who do not want an activity. Anchor off a sandbar and stand around in waist-deep water. Swim. Cruise the coastline. Watch for dolphins, which turn up most days, and manatees through the warmer months. Pull in somewhere on the water for lunch and sit for an hour.

There is no itinerary and nothing you have to do. You tell Captain ET roughly what sounds good when you get aboard, and he builds the day around it and the tide.

Tie up and have lunch

The part most people remember. Three places Captain ET runs to regularly, all of them with dockage so you step off the boat and straight in:

Rum Bay, Palm Island

The only one of the three you cannot drive to. That is the whole appeal: you get there by water because there is no other way in, and the run down past the mangroves is half the point.

Smokin' Jerry's Tiki Hut, Gasparilla Marina

Tiki hut at 15001 Gasparilla Rd with a smoker going. Ribs, pulled pork, brisket. You can drive here, but tying up at the dock and walking in beats the car park. The easy one when you want proper food without much ceremony.

Boca Grande Marina

Miller's Dockside downstairs for casual, the Eagle Grille upstairs if you want to sit down properly. Tie up at the marina and walk in. Drivable too, but arriving by boat is the better version of the day.

You pay for your own food. Four hours is comfortable for a sandbar and a sit-down lunch. Two is enough for a swim and a cruise but tight for a meal. Six is the one to book if you want all of it without watching the clock.

The sandbars

Lemon Bay and the water around Stump Pass have shallow bars that come up at the right tide, clear and calm enough to stand in. Captain ET knows which ones are worth it on the day, because it changes with the tide and the wind, and he will take you to the good one rather than the obvious one.

Questions people ask

Whatever you want it to. There is no schedule. Most trips are some mix of anchoring off a sandbar to swim and stand around in waist-deep water, cruising the coastline, looking for dolphins and manatees, and pulling in somewhere on the water for lunch. You tell Captain ET roughly what sounds good and he builds the day around it.
Yes, and it is the part people enjoy most. Captain ET runs to Rum Bay on Palm Island, Smokin' Jerry's Tiki Hut at Gasparilla Marina, and the dock-and-dine spots at Boca Grande Marina, Miller's Dockside and the Eagle Grille upstairs. You pay for your own food. Longer trips give you time to sit down properly.
Four hours is comfortable for a sandbar plus lunch. Two hours is enough for a swim and a cruise but tight for a sit-down meal. Six hours is the one to book if you want the sandbar, lunch and a long way down the coast.
$300 for two hours, $550 for four, $700 for six. That is the whole boat up to six guests, not per person. Food and drinks are on you. Fuel, ice water and the captain are in the price.
Bring whatever you like. There is a cooler and ice aboard. Alcohol is fine for guests 21 and over. Captain ET stays dry because he is driving.
It is one of the better things you can do with them. The sandbars are shallow and calm, the boat is stable, and there is enough going on that nobody gets bored. Life jackets aboard in every size, and required for under 6s.
The public ramp at 1000 S McCall Rd in Englewood, or your own dock if you are staying on the water in Englewood, at no extra cost. This trip runs out of Englewood. Wakesurf is the only charter Captain ET trailers out of the area.

The rest of what we run

Same boat, same captain, different day. Dolphin and wildlife tours on Lemon Bay, a sunset cruise for the last ninety minutes of light, and wakesurf charters with pro instruction. All of it runs out of Englewood, and wakesurf is the one Captain ET trailers up the coast. If you only want one or two seats rather than the whole boat, there are wakesurf lessons on a Saturday Session. Staying on Manasota Key? He picks you up from the dock.

Tell Captain ET what sounds good and he will build the rest around it.
