Wakesurfing, dolphin tours, sunset cruises and whole days on the bay. If the place you are staying has a dock, Captain ET picks you up from it at no extra cost.
Check DatesManasota Key sits with the Gulf on one side and Lemon Bay on the other, a few minutes over the Tom Adams Bridge from Englewood. Captain ET keeps the boat on the mainland side of that bay, which means a charter from the key is about the shortest trip to the dock anybody gets.
If the house or condo you are renting has a dock on the bay side, he comes to you. You walk down the steps, step on the boat, and the day starts. No driving, no parking, no finding a ramp in a town you do not know. There is no charge for that on Manasota Key.
If there is no dock, you meet him at 1000 S McCall Rd in Englewood, which is five or ten minutes back over the bridge with parking right there.
The Lemon Bay side of the key is some of the flattest water on this coast, which is exactly why the boat lives here. Private session on the Heyday H22 with pro instruction and Phase Five boards included. Every level, and most first-timers are riding the same day.
Wakesurf chartersLemon Bay and the Gulf shoreline, looking for dolphins, manatees, rays and shorebirds. Calm nearshore water the whole way, which makes it the easy pick with kids or grandparents aboard.
Dolphin toursOut through Stump Pass at the south end of the key for the last of the light, or inside the pass if the Gulf is choppy. One departure an evening, so the night is yours. Bring a bottle, there is ice aboard.
Sunset cruisesSandbars, swimming, shelling, shark teeth if you want them, and lunch at a restaurant you pull up to. Build the day however you like.
Day on the BayEvery other Saturday, 9am to 1pm, six seats. The cheap way for one or two people to try wakesurfing without taking the whole boat.
Wakesurf lessonsEvery private charter above is priced for the whole boat, up to six guests, not per person. Full numbers are on the pricing page.
Lemon Bay runs the length of the key, which gives you protected water on almost any day. Stump Pass at the south end is the way out to the Gulf, and the sandbars either side of it are where most trips end up at some point. Beyond the pass the shoreline runs down past Don Pedro Island, and north the bay carries on toward Venice.
Dolphins work the pass and the bay constantly and they like running the wake. On a calm day Captain ET will take you out into the Gulf. On a choppy one the bay is better anyway, so almost nothing gets cancelled for wind alone.
Pick a date and charter on the booking page and the deposit holds it. The balance is due on the day by cash, card, Venmo or Zelle. If you are renting for a week, book the morning early in the stay so there is room to move it if the weather turns.
Send Captain ET the address or a photo of the dock when you book and he will tell you straight whether there is enough water at the tide you want. If there is not, you meet him at the ramp and lose nothing but a five minute drive.
Same boat, same captain, a short run away. Private boat charters in Englewood, watersports in Englewood, and wakesurfing at Boca Grande. Wakesurf is the one charter Captain ET will trailer further afield, up to two hours from Englewood.
Tell Captain ET where the dock is and he will come to it.
