Boca Grande is a short run from Englewood and it is the kind of water people remember. The sandbar draws a crowd on a weekend afternoon for good reason, and the pass is one of the few places on this coast where you can sit and watch tarpon roll.

Wakesurfing when the water is right for it, a slow day on the sandbar if that suits your group better, or the sunset run people book for anniversaries.

How a Boca Grande day works

Captain ET picks the launch and the route on the morning, based on the wind and the tide and what your group actually wants out of the day. The sandbar is the social spot and it fills up on weekend afternoons, so earlier or midweek is quieter. Boca Grande Pass has real current and during tarpon season it is worth idling through just to watch. Dolphins are a regular sight out here.

Where we meet

Captain ET picks the launch spot based on the conditions that morning and where your group is coming from, then confirms it with you when he confirms your date. If you have a dock with enough water, he can meet you there instead, which is usually the easiest version for everybody.

What we run

Private wakesurf charters with pro instruction and Phase Five boards for every level. Dolphin and wildlife tours. Sunset cruises at golden hour. Or a Day on the Bay with no schedule at all. Every trip is private, every charter rate covers the whole group up to six guests, and everything is included. See full pricing.

Questions about Boca Grande

Can we go to the sandbar?

Yes, and it is one of the better ways to spend a Day on the Bay. Bring a cooler. Weekends get busy, so earlier is calmer.

Is there a travel charge to come to Boca Grande?

Boca Grande is one of the closer runs for us. Captain ET gives you the exact number before you book.

Is it good for wakesurfing or just cruising?

Both, though which one you get on a given day depends on conditions. Captain ET will tell you honestly when you book what the water is likely to do.

How many people can come?

Six. The boat seats fourteen comfortably but the captain's license caps paying passengers at six, which is honestly better anyway.

Other places we run

We trailer the boat all over this coast. Sarasota, Siesta Key, Venice, Punta Gorda & Port Charlotte, and anywhere else within about two hours of Englewood.
